SUMMARY:WDP: I made you wonderful
DESCRIPTION:This year’s programme is written by the World Day of Prayer Committee of the Cook Islands. \n\n\n\n\nI will praise You\, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;Marvellous are Your works\,And that my soul knows very well. \n\n\n\n\nPsalm 139:14 \n\n\n\nOur sisters from the Cook Islands have spent the last few years deepening into the theme: “I Made You Wonderful\,” based on Psalm 139:1-18. \n\n\n\nThe 2025 program invites us into the knowledge that each one of us was made with care and love by God. When we can receive this profound truth\, everything in our life changes and we begin to radiate and shine from within. We also learn how to treat every other person as made wonderful by God. \n\n\n\nMargaret Clark WDP National Committee urges you to attend an ecumenical Preparation day in your area and take the learning back to all parishes .  \n\n\n\nMake it part of the  Roman Catholic church’s Jubilee celebration!  \n\n\n\nSee Preparation Days you can attend on wwdp.org.uk

SUMMARY:Who are we walking with in Synodality?
DESCRIPTION:NBCW Ecumenical Committee invite you to: \n\n\n\nWho are we walking with synodalityDownload\n\n\n\nWho are we walking with in synodality?\n\n\n\nEcumenism and the synodal church.\n\n\n\nSynodality\, which emphasizes collaboration\, listening\, dialogue\, and shared decision-making\, invites us to reflect on who we walk with as we navigate the path of faith together with our fellow Christians. \n\n\n\nPlease join Professor Clare Watkins in a compelling webinar as she explores the intersection of ecumenism\, and the synodal journey of the Church. \n\n\n\nAbout Professor Clare WatkinsProfessor Clare Watkins leads the research project “Conversations\, Culture\, and communion: networking for church vitality and health” at the Centre for Catholic Studies\, Durham University. \n\n\n\nFollowing on from the Boundary Breaking project researching the impacts of clergy sexual abuse in the Catholic Church in England and Wales\, her work uses participative practice: engaged theological methods to widen the conversation\, and generate new theological thinking and church practice in response to what can be learned from the wounds of abuse and cover-up. \n\n\n\nClare also has worked for many years with the Dicastery for Christian Unity\, serving on both the Methodist-Roman Catholic International Dialogue Commission\, and the working group for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. \n\n\n\nJoin us on Zoom \n\n\n\nTopic: Who are we walking with in synodality?Time: Mar 4\, 2025 07:00 PM LondonJoin Zoom Meetinghttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/84550249470?pwd=IJxETiXjkiVvTo8nYIwb5DYQmwDeIZ.1 \n\n\n\nMeeting ID: 845 5024 9470Passcode: 991050

DESCRIPTION:Book club returns this year with ‘Cloistered’ by Catherine Coldstream. You can order a copy of the book here: https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/cloistered-my-years-as-a-nun-catherine-coldstream/7570780?ean=9781529931518 \n\n\n\nDiscover Catherine Coldstream’s evocative account of life as a nun in the 1990s\, and the dramatic events which led to her flight from the monastery. \n\n\n\nAfter the shock of her father’s death\, and with the rest of her family scattered\, Catherine was left grieving and alone at twenty-four. A search for meaning led her to the nuns of Akenside Priory. \n\n\n\nHere she found a tight-knit community of dedicated women and peace in an ancient way of life. But as she surrenders to her final vows\, all is not as it seems behind the Priory’s closed doors. \n\n\n\nCatherine comes to realise that divine authority is mediated through flawed and all-too-human channels. She is faced with a dilemma: should she protect the serenity she has found\, or speak out? \n\n\n\nJoin Zoom Meetinghttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/84602441606?pwd=vGB1NhadytDI0a10Cv8GPTS50SbULc.1 \n\n\n\nMeeting ID: 846 0244 1606Passcode: 645081
