Book Club: Wayfaring Part 1
1 June — 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Please join us on Monday 1st June at 7.30pm to 9pm for the first meeting of the NBCW Women in the Church Book Club. Over the next few months we will explore paths of a
spiritual journey when as we read ‘Wayfaring: A Gospel Journey into Life’ by Margaret Silf.
For our next session we don’t have a set number of chapters we to read. Please start at Chapter 1 and see how far you get as the content is very rich.
Some suggestions for your reading and preparation for our next meeting.
As you read write down:
- The emotions you experience as you work through the chapter (surprise, intrigue, joy, scepticism?)
- What resonated with you: choose 1 or 2 examples to explore.
- What surprised you the most?
We have agreed to use the synodal process with each of us having 2-3 minutes to share a reflection with the group- uninterrupted.
When all those who wish to speak have had their turn, we will then open up the discussion to the whole group.
Do have a pen and paper for your notes and don’t forget the cup of tea or glass of wine!
