A Voice for Catholic Women
It is important to us that EVERY Catholic woman in England and Wales has a voice. Diocesan Links are appointed by Bishops to act as a liaison between each diocese in England and Wales and the National Board of Catholic Women, which is a consultative body to the Bishops' Conference.
Diocesan links work to:
- Connect with all Catholic women in their diocese (both individuals and women's organisations) and those involved in ministries such as chaplaincies, catechesis, and different kinds of social outreach.
- Meet regularly with their bishop to keep him in touch with issues of current concern to women in the diocese.
- Organise events to bring women of the diocese together, encourage conversation and the sharing of ideas and information (eg study days, retreats, courses, synod).
- Attend National Board meetings three times a year, feeding back information on issues and NBCW action to women in their Diocese.
If you would like to connect with your Diocesan link, to express your views, get involved or find out what is happening in your Diocese, send a message via 'Contact Us' or click one of the links below. We look forward to hearing from you!
