The Online Safety Act and the End of Life Bill are likely to be the focus for upcoming webinars from the bio-ethics committee.
Concern was expressed that the debate around the End of Life Bill has overshadowed the valuable work of the hospice movement.
The Women in the Church Book Club will be restarting on Monday 6th October. The focus is “For the Good of the Church: Unity, Theology and Women” by Gabrielle Thomas. The book is a development of original research undertaken on behalf of the NBCW by Gabrielle so this is a ‘full circle’ choice of book.
An in-person speaker event has been confirmed for 24th April 2027.
The Eccumenical Committee are continuing their work with other organisations and looking at how communities are becoming more multicultural in many parts of the country.
The NBCW will have delegates at the WUCWO conference in Budapest.
The next Andante study day will be in Walsingham, September 2026
The Social Responsibility Committee have been working hard towards their next event “Keeping Women Out of Prisons”. Attendees have been asked to register for this in advance.
